"I need to figure out why. Things don't happen for no reason... right?"
Numira is a Raen Au Ra woman on an obsessive journey, the subject of which she keeps to herself. You'll usually find her scouring every tome in every library across the realm... She hides her desperation with a confident smirk.
Name Numira Sephirah
Age Adult 50+
Race Raen Au Ra
Hair Color Light Blue
R. Eye Color Blessed Gold
Job Black Mage/Weaver
(side note: I headcanon Au Ra to have longer lifespans. I like to imagine the upper limit for Au Ra as 150)
- Numira was born with a singular glowing eye, she views this eye as proof that she was blessed by the Dawn Father himself. As such, she refuses to be seen with her other "unblessed eye" visible. She will only be seen with headpieces that cover her left eye.- If there was any sin that Numira would have a strong affinity with, it would be
Gluttony. Numira is always trying to gain more power, whether it be from diving deeper into the depths of Black Magic, or going on life threatening expeditions for no reason but the paycheck. She never wants to feel powerless again. ...but its never enough.

The Staff.
One thing you'll quickly notice about Numira is her staff, She's practically glued to it and she brings it with her everywhere. It's very eyecatching and it seems important, might be worth talking about with her?
Black Magic
Numira will try to keep up appearances that shes just another Thaumaturge, but its pretty clear to those with experience that shes gone off the deep end regarding Black Magic.
Text
Mage for hire
Numira primarily makes her income by using her talent at a Spellcaster to partake in "Expedition Work" (think of it like if FFXIV dungeons took multiple days). She's no nonsense and doesn't ask questions as long as she's financially compensated, but she can be bribed with rare tomes.
Numira's life up to this point has had a lot of twists and turns. She was forced to escape her hometown of Werlyt at a very young age after it saw Garlean invasion and occupation. She fled northwest with her family and eventually arriving in Coerthas where her parents were prompted slaughtered by the Temple Knights of Ishgard, as they mistook her family as Dragonkin Heretics. Numira barely escaped with her life as she ran south, eventually arriving at the stone gates of Ul'dah, where she would reside for most her childhood and teenage life, stealing food and gil to try and live and see the next day. When she grew in her late teens she figured she'd need something to get her on her feet. Which is when she attempted to join the thaumaturgy guild! As a thaumaturge she had abnormal talent despite her age, and made expedition work her main source of income!Adventuring isn't a risk less profession unfortunately, and during one expedition in a abandoned crypt in Ul'dah, Numira chanced apon a queer purple crystal that changed her life forever. As she reached out for it, with a curious look in her eyes, the crystal resonated to her. In an instant began to painfully drain Numira's aether and her soul out of her, and used the aether to shift its shape into a eerie purple staff. She'll spend days scouring the books in the Thurmaturgey guild for answers on what she saw, until a rumor grazes the surface of her horns. "A Library home to the greatest repository of knowledge the realm has ever seen. The Great Gubal Library.Numira makes her way north once again, confronting her past as she journeys to Northern Coerthas, to read everything this library has to offer and find a way to free her soul.
"If I die... so be it."
